Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Dissonance of the Nexus Expansion DLC Gets Release Date
Bandai Namco revealed that the story expansion for their third-person shooter, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, Dissonance of the Nexus will launch on January 18 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC-via Steam.
Dissonance of the Nexus brings in a group of new characters to the game’s story including characters from Lost Song and Ordinal Scale will also join the game’s roster.
- Seven – the idol songstress who promotes peace.
- Yuna – The AI pop idol and daughter of Professor Tetsuhiro Shigemura.
- Eiji – Yuna’s childhood friend and love interest.
- Sachi – A member of the Moonlit Black Cats guild.
Each character will be playable in battle and will push the narrative of the expansion’s story. The update will also add a new dungeon and boss battle to online co-op as well as a Hero Battle Quest: Death Gun and Lievere.
Additionally, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition will also launch on January 18, which will bundle up the game’s three DLC packs and the new expansion. This Complete Edition is also planned to release on Nintendo Switch.

Author’s take: I do enjoy that Bandai Namco supports this series when other anime IPs fade away, Sword Art Online seems to push through and actually present some rather fun gameplay systems. I’m excited to know how this story expansion ends.
