Fantasian Updated; Music Player Now Available On New Game+

Developer Mistwalker has announced that their turn-based JRPG, Fantasian, has been updated to version 2.5.3, implementing a music player and addressing minor bugs. To access the music player, one must be on New Game+ and open a treasure chest in the bar’s backroom in the Frontier Town of En. Saving the game and returning to the title screen after gaining the item in the chest finally unlocks the music player.

You can view the tweet initially announcing this added content for Fantasian below:

Fantasian is set in a world governed by machines where the balance of Chaos and Order is the crucial factor in the struggle within this multi-dimensional universe. Players will take on the role of Leo, who has awakened after an explosion without his memory and facing a strange land. The journey begins to reclaim Leo’s memories as players uncover the truth behind a peculiar mechanical infection consuming mankind.

The story is written by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi with music by Nobuo Uematsu.

The battle system uses a “Dimengeon Battle” mechanic, allowing players to send previously encountered enemies into a separate dimensional dungeon to streamline combat and maximize uninterrupted exploration of the beautiful locations.

Players will explore dioramas with over 150 different types. Creating Fantasian’s real-life miniature sets are veterans who have worked on projects like the Godzilla films, Attack on Titan, and Ultraman. In addition, Fantasian serves as a vehicle to bring these works of art into the digital space via Apple Arcade.
