Fantasian Part 2 Launches Later This Week on Apple Arcade
Developer Mistwalker announced that their RPG Fantasian will launch Fantasian Part 2 on Apple Arcade services on August 13, 2021.
This second part of the game will include an additional 40 to 60 hours of new quests for players to discover, along with 34 new tracks added from Nobuo Uematsu. This new quest-driven focus will most likely have players interacting with characters to discover more about the different towns and return to previously explored dungeons.
Fantasian is set in a world governed by machines where the balance of Chaos and Order is the key factor in the struggle within this multi-dimensional universe. Players will take on the role of Leo, who has awakened after an explosion without his memory and facing a strange land. The journey begins to reclaim Leo’s memories as players uncover the truth behind a strange mechanical infection consuming mankind.
The story is written by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi with music by Nobuo Uematsu.
The battle system uses a “Dimengeon Battle” mechanic, allowing players to send previously encountered enemies into a separate dimensional dungeon to streamline combat and maximize uninterrupted exploration of the beautiful locations.
Players will explore dioramas with over 150 different types. Creating Fantasian’s real-life miniature sets are veterans who have worked on projects like the Godzilla films, Attack on Titan, and Ultraman. In addition, Fantasian serves as a vehicle to bring these works of art into the digital space via Apple Arcade.
