Square Enix and Mistwalker have confirmed that the upcoming Fantasian Neo Dimension will be Steam Deck verified.
This means that besides simply being functional, the title will immediately work when launched on the device, is optimized, and requires no additional steps or configuration.
This enhanced version of the original game features English and Japanese voiceovers alongside an additional difficulty option to make it more approachable.
Fantasian is set in a world governed by machines where the balance of Chaos and Order is the crucial factor in the struggle within this multi-dimensional universe. Players will take on the role of Leo, who has awakened after an explosion without his memory and facing a strange land. The journey begins to reclaim Leo’s memories as players uncover the truth behind a peculiar mechanical infection consuming mankind.
The battle system uses a “Dimengeon Battle” mechanic, allowing players to send previously encountered enemies into a separate dimensional dungeon to streamline combat and maximize uninterrupted exploration of the locations.
Players will explore dioramas with over 150 different types. Creating Fantasian’s real-life miniature sets are veterans who have worked on projects like the Godzilla films, Attack on Titan, and Ultraman.
Fantasian Neo Dimension will be released on December 5, 2024, for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
