Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and The Girl Who Stand Behind Coming to Switch in May

During today’s Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir and Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind will launch on the Nintendo Switch eShop on May 14.

Famicom Detective Club: The Missing Heir initially released in 1988 from Nintendo on Famicom before it was ported to other consoles but never came west. The game is an adventure title where players will interact with characters to solve a mystery. Similar to horror films, players will assume the role of an amnesiac protagonist who has just learned that he’s an assistant detective in a case surrounding a murder. Throughout the game, players will crack the case wide open, but not without a few roadblocks.

Famicom Detective Club: The Girl Who Stands Behind features two cases for players to solve and is directly connected to the previous game through a few plot points. Players will be able to interact with other characters through dialog choices that will lead them to a true ending.

Both games have been updated in terms of visuals and text and will launch in the west for the first time. A physical release has not been announced, but we are hoping for one. Both games are available as standalone titles via the Switch eShop.
