Fallout 76 Gets Update Adding Human NPCs, New Questlines, and Battle Royale Mode
During Bethesda’s E3 2019 briefing, the publisher released a new update for their online multiplayer Fallout 76, coming to PS4, Xbox One, and PC in Fall 2019 as a free update.
The trailer introduces players to the Waistlanders update, which opens up showing players hanging out with each other around a new area known as Appalachia. However, the trailer also shows a dynamic mission structure with new NPCs and a story mode centered around choosing a side.
Yes, this update adds the much-requested feature that gives players the power to interact with NPCs and go on actual questlines instead of just existing in the world with other online players. The questlines will feature player directed branching paths with the addition of dialog trees and other features that probably should have been in the game at launch.
Additionally, the game will launch a Battle Royale mode known as Nuclear Winter where they added the mode for players to try. The entire game along with the Nuclear Winter early access update this week for free across all platforms. The mode has players fighting each other as a ring of fire makes the ring smaller as characters take out each other until the final moments. Additionally, there will be nukes.
