Fall Guys Going Free-to-Play Next Month; Coming to Switch & Xbox

Fall Guys’ development team, Mediatonic, has announced that the title will become free-to-play starting on June 21, 2022, and will be heading to additional platforms, implying Nintendo Switch and Xbox availability. Further, crossplay and cross-progression will be implemented with pre-registration rewards, new levels, new costumes, and more.

This collective announcement was vaguely teased last week. Considering how Fall Guys has waned from the public consciousness over the past year, this move is probably for the best as it increases player availability and range tenfold. Between enhanced platform availability and the lack of any financial barriers, practically anyone will be able to play this addictive party game starting next month.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is a platforming-centric battle royale with both competitive and cooperative modes. Battles consist of many challenges reliant on both skillful play and plain old luck. The humorous nature of the title comes from the cute art style, and the shenanigans players face and deal with as they tackle the various challenges presented to them. In addition to the frustrating yet addicting gameplay, the numerous cosmetics available for purchase make this title a hit party game.

Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout is available on both Playstation 4 and Steam for the base price of $19.99.
