Falcom’s President Thinks Rean’s Best Love Interest is Alisa

Outlet PushSquare recently conducted an interview with the President of Nihon Falcom, Toshihiro Kondo, about the recently released Trails into Reverie, the launch of the Crossbell duology, and more.

In the interview’s finale, a series of rapid-fire questions and answers were presented. Most of them are pretty random and humorous, including one regarding which love interest best fits the protagonist of Trails of Cold Steel, Rean Schwarzer.

The exchange about this topic is quoted below:

Push Square: Who do you think is the best love interest for Rean?

Kondo: The Cold Steel series started as an RPG that allowed players to experience the life of one person, so we leave that decision to the player. However, personally, I hope that it’s Alisa.

This reply isn’t all that surprising since Alisa does feel like the “main” girl of sorts when considering her focus in the first game and such. Still, as Kondo says, Rean’s best love interest is dependent on the person.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie takes place after Trails of Cold Steel IV and features a new mechanic called Zapping that has players switch between playable protagonists and parties at a moment’s notice.

The Trails of Cold Steel protagonist, Rean Schwarzer, Crossbell protagonist, Lloyd Bannings, and the brand new character C, are the leaders of these three parties. They face their own unique threats before eventually uniting against something especially grand.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 7, 2023.
