Falcom Announces Ys X Nordics Tokyo Game Show 2023 Concert Performance
Developer Nihon Falcom has announced that for Tokyo Game Show 2023, Falcom jdk Band will host a special performance across two days to commemorate the upcoming release of the action JRPG Ys X Nordics. It will be both in-person and live-streamed.
Additionally, a trial version of the game will be showcased. The show floor will be open to the public between September 23 and September 24, 2023. Attendees will also receive various pieces of merchandise. You can view additional details about Falcom’s presence at Tokyo Game Show 2023 via their official website.
Ys X Nordics will occur between Ys II and Memories of Celceta, making it the new third canonical entry in Adol Christin’s adventure logs. The gameplay has undergone a significant shakeup, with there only being two playable characters this time around.
Special maneuvers can be unlocked via story scenes and exploration, allowing for environmental interaction. Further, in solo mode, the character you’re not controlling performs actions judged by their own discretion. Adol will be controlling a ship for combat and island hopping, too.
Unused Ys Seven concepts are being utilized in this outing, too. Ys X Nordics will allow players considerable explorative freedom, enabling naval travel with a recruitable crew and ship combat.
