Adventure JRPG ‘Fairy Tail’ Gets New Gameplay Details and Screenshots

Koei Tecmo released new information for the Gust developed action RPG Fairy Tail, coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam in 2020.

Fairy Tail will follow the Grand Magic Games story arc where players will be able to experience iconic events and battles from the manga and anime series. Throughout the game, players will form a party of ten characters, including beloved series characters, Natsu Dragneel, Lucy Heartfilia, Gray Fullbuster,  Erza Scarlet, and Wendy Marvell. Over time, players will be able to recruit new guild member and form their dream team, which may include characters who don’t even get along in the story to create a unique experience.

The battle system in Fairy Tail features magical battles where players will be able to access the magic abilities of the characters to take down enemies. Completing battles and quests will not only level up the party members, but it will also lead the characters to unique bonding scenarios where hopefully we can ship a few characters that just didn’t get a chance. Also, players will be able to upgrade the guild and unlock new challenge missions.

Fairy Tail is being developed by Gust, who is known for the Atelier series and Nights of Azure series. Additionally, it is being made under the supervision of author Hiro Mashima, who promises a faithful recreate for Fairy Tail fans.
