Tactical JRPG ‘Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord’ Reveals Gameplay Trailer

Publisher Idea Factory International has shared the official gameplay trailer for the upcoming localized release of the Compile Heart and Sting-developed tactical JRPG, Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord.

The various previously detailed facets of combat, character customization, and treasure-seeking are discussed in a more digestible format, enabling a deeper understanding of these systems before the game launches later this month.

Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord follows Fang and his group as they run into a woman named Glace, who has the ability to brainwash people with her siren song. A woman named Fleur joins the party who shares this ability, and it’s learned they are known as Muses, which allow them to change or boost other peoples’ abilities with their singing. Players can look forward to intricate character customization, treasure-seeking via Location Shaping, and multiple endings shaped by the choices one makes.

Fairy Fencer F: Refrain Chord will launch Westward for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on April 25, 2023, for both North America and Europe. Steam will receive the title on May 23, 2023.
