F.I.S.T. Forged In Shadow Torch Gets July Release Date on Switch
Astrolabe Games announced they will publish the TiGames-developed Metroidvania-action game F.I.S.T. Forged In Shadow Torch, on Nintendo Switch on July 12, 2022.
The developers are focused on performance as this version of the game will run at 1080p 30fps in docked mode and 720p 30fps in handheld mode. This is fairly standard for games running on Switch hardware, but it’s good to see the team is aiming to keep that consistent
A physical release is planned for PS4, PS5, and Switch.
F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch takes place when the Machine Legion invaded and colonized Torch City, which was initially inhabited by animals. That was six years ago, and now, Rayton, a former soldier in the resistance war, lives in seclusion. Then, one day, his friend was arrested, and Rayon decided that it was time to put back on his mechanical fist and hop back into the fight. Get it, because he’s a rabbit?
Gameplay in F.I.S.T.: Forged In Shadow Torch features arcade-style combat with access to three unique weapons, the First, Drill, and Whip. Each weapon allows players to tackle whatever situation they encounter. The combo system will improve throughout the game to include new attacks, but survival is based on learning enemy attacks and patterns.
