Tactical Rogue-Lite ‘Evertried’ Gets Release Date With New Gameplay Trailer
Dangen Entertainment announced that the Lunic Games-developed isometric, tactical rogue-lite, Evertried, will launch digitally on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam on October 21, 2021.
The publisher also released new gameplay showing the unique title in action and some of the different boards and enemies players will face off against. Additionally, on September 22, 2021, a free demo will be available on Steam for the publisher’s Tokyo Game Show 2021 showcase.
Evertried is set in the afterlife, where players assume the role of a fallen warrior fighting to ascend a tower by defeating enemies through turn-based combat. Each floor features a challenge the requires planning and strategy. However, the warrior can utilize various attacks, movement options, skills, and hazards to clear floors and ascent higher.
There are 50 floors to take on divided into five areas. The higher you ascend, the more complex the floors will become. Further, there’s a shop floor in each area where you can spend shards in exchange for health recovery, Skills, and Modifiers.
The game’s turn-based nature allows players to take their time when making actions. Similar to a dungeon-crawling RPG, players can choose when to move or release a skill. Strategy is vital to overcome encounters with enemies, but there are enough options at the player’s disposal to put up a fight.
We’ll keep you updated on the release of Evertried.
