Sci-Fi Action RPG ‘Everreach: Project Eden’ Release Window Revealed for PS4, Xbox One, and PC
After three years in development, Elder Games‘ sci-fi action RPG Everreach: Project Eden will release on Xbox One and PC-via Steam, while the PlayStation 4 version will follow “a bit later this year” — publisher Headup Games announced today.
In Everreach: Project Eden, players will take on the role of Nora Harwood, a member of Everreach’s Security Division, who’s on a mission to secure the colonization process of the planet of Eden and investigate mysterious incidents. To do this, players are going to need to explore a vast alien world and go deeper into the planet’s depths to uncover several ancient secrets.
Exploration isn’t going to be so easy, however, as enemies will want to stop you in your tracks, so players should expect to engage in tactical ground combat, along with high-speed vehicular warfare to survive. Also, thanks to the game’s in-depth level and skill system, there are going to be many ways to be prepared for any battle in Everreach.
As far as the development team goes, Elder Games actually used to be a one-man studio, which was just developer, Ede Tarsoly. However, Ede decided to think big, and he ended up turning his former one-man studio into a team of five people, plus over a dozen freelancers. In addition to his new team, Ede received help from a group of talented contributors.
I’m sure many of you are going to get some Mass Effect-like vibes while watching the trailer for Everreach. Well, interestingly enough, the former narrative QA and game writer for the Mass Effect trilogy, Michelle Clough, helped create the game’s story. What’s more is that one of the voice actors in the game, D.C. Douglas, played the role of Legion in Mass Effect 2.
See for yourself how Everreach is looking pretty similar to the Mass Effect series by checking out the trailer and screenshots below:
