Looks Like Evenicle 2 Has Been Banned on Steam

Last year, developer Alicesoft announced they will localize and publish Evenicle 2 in the west. They released a demo titled Evenicle 2: Clinical Trial Edition on PC-via Steam to hold players off. However, even though that was released back in August 2020, Valve has delisted the full version of the game according to SteamDB, which is a sign that it has been banned on the platform. [Edit: This was meant to reflect the full version of the game and not the current demo]

The reason for the ban is not yet known, but we reached out to Alicesoft for comment. It’s tough on the studio because they are using the demo to get feedback from fans since this is the first time they are self-publishing. While the demo appears to still be listed, the full game has been taken down.  Typically, the developer works with MangaGamer, who publishes the Rance series.

[Edit] Twitter user @exzyleph pointed out that while the listing was never on Steam, this type of rejection is a sure sign that Valve has not approved Evenicle 2’s submission. In the past, this has happened to other titles that would not find a way back onto the Steam platform, for example: Rance VI + Rance 5D.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on any changes.

Evenicle 2 takes place during a time when an illness has spread across the world known as the “Hero Disease.” If someone with the illness uses magic, they will die. Mighty warriors worldwide have teamed up to take out the monsters thought to be responsible for the plague. However, the efforts are becoming harder as more and more heroes pass away.

That’s where the protagonist of this adventure, Alex, steps in to help. Blessed with a legendary healing ability, Alex sets out to cure the female warriors affected and save them.
