Otome Game Fandisk ‘Even if Tempest Dawning Connections’ Coming to Nintendo Switch in 2023

Voltage has officially unveiled Even if Tempest Dawning Connections, a fandisk to 2022 otome game Even if Tempest. The visual novel will be available for Nintendo Switch in English and Japanese and the release is planned for Summer 2023 though a more specific date has yet to be revealed.

Even if Tempest tells the story of a young woman called Anastasia Lynzel. Raised by her stepmother, Evelina, she had to face cruelty from a young age, usually being forced to stay in the attic. One day her life changes forever as she gains a special ability called Fatal Rewind, which allows her to change the past.

However, this skill comes with a catch: her fate will give birth to a new, possibly worse tragedy nonetheless. As she tries to break free, she becomes more intimately connected with the four main characters. The original game had two routes available at first (Crius and Tyril), with Zenn and Lucien unlocked afterward.

With a lighter motiff to it, the expectation is that Even if Tempest Dawning Connections may offer a respite from the tragic nature of the original game. There are no concrete details about the game’s story but it’s said to be “Fate’s final verdict, illuminated by love.” That is a very hopeful message for those craving for some more romance with the cast.

Just like the first game, Even if Tempest Dawning Connections has Ayane Ushio (Norn9) taking the helm in the story and direction departments, with Norita (Beast Darling) responsible for the illustrations. The soundtrack is done by Shunsuke Tsuchiya (Another Eden), with Shihoko Hirata (of Persona 4 fame) handling the vocals and lyrics for the opening and ending theme songs.
