Voltage has opened the official site for Even if Tempest Dawning Connections, giving a closer look at the otome game. While details are still scarce, there are a few CG scenes and a tease of a mysterious female character. The upcoming title is a fandisk expanding on the story of the visual novel Even if Tempest, which had a simultaneous worldwide release on Switch.
Even if Tempest tells the story of a young woman called Anastasia Lynzel. Raised by her stepmother, Evelina, she had to face cruelty from a young age, usually being forced to stay in the attic. One day her life changes forever as she gains a special ability called Fatal Rewind, which allows her to change the past.
However, this skill comes with a catch: her fate will give birth to a new, possibly worse tragedy nonetheless. As she tries to break free, she becomes more intimately connected with the four main characters. The original game had two routes available at first (Crius and Tyril), with Zenn and Lucien unlocked afterward.
After all the violent situations of the original game, Dawning Connections teases the characters finally having some respite to think about true love. However, the game won’t be just the fluffy, cute content, as the new scenes hint at new conflicts. Even so, this is a story of the joy and love Anastasia finds at the end of the path of sacrifices she was forced to take in the first game.

The official site also details all characters including Anastasia and her four love interests (Lucien, Crius, Tyril and Zenn), as well as the sub characters like her stepmother Evelina Lynzel and the court painter Mael Diaz. Their profiles contain a few spoilers to the first game but we also get a tease of a certain female character whose name and backstory details are unknown at present. However, those who played the original game may recognize she looks like a certain character from the first game with different hair color.
Even if Tempest Dawning Connections is coming to Nintendo Switch in 2023, though a specific release date has yet to be announced. We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the latest news about this Voltage game.
