New Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Trailer Details Gameplay Loop
Atlus has shared a new trailer for their upcoming dungeon-crawling compilation Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection. Prospective players are introduced to various gameplay features, such as the Picnic difficulty mode enabling accessibility for all crowds.
Completing and reporting quests and selling valuable loot are parts of the overall gameplay loop, with the latter being especially vital as doing so unlocks equipment. Regarding party member formations, there are no restrictions, so you can form any composition you like. Leveling up will grant you SP used to gain access to Class skills, and monsters can all be analyzed in the midst of battle, so it’s best to take note of affinities.
Auto-mapping is a new feature that makes the adventures less time-consuming, automatically filling in map tiles as you explore. This contrasts with the original DS releases, which required players to fill in the map manually. Additionally, the newly implemented widescreen functionality highlights the unique dungeon designs.
