Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Now Available on Switch & PC; Launch Trailer

Atlus has announced that their dungeon-crawling RPG compilation, Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection, is now available on Nintendo Switch and PC via Steam. To commemorate the occasion, a brief launch trailer was shared, highlighting the contents of this content-filled package.

In a recent Famitsu issue, Atlus stated that they will be taking fan feedback from this release to improve future entries in the franchise.

Etrian Odyssey is a series of traditional-styled dungeon-crawling RPGs. With a tough but fair difficulty and an incredible array of customization options, it’s an excellent example of how the genre can offer solid experiences that demand careful planning and an understanding of the risks of exploring too long.

The new HD edition of the DS games includes a Picnic difficulty for newcomers and an auto-mapping option. The release also had to revamp graphics from a dual-screen perspective to high definition and a widescreen proportion. A new portrait option for each class was also added in the three games, being one of the highlights of the class trailers.

The following DLC sets are available:

  • Character Portrait DLC Set 1 includes Joker (Persona 5 Royal) and Ringo (Soul Hackers 2)
  • Character Portrait DLC Set 2 includes Demi-Fiend (Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne) and Teddie (Persona 4 Golden)
  • Character Portrait DLC Set 3 includes Aigis (Persona 3 Portable) and Nahobino (Shin Megami Tensei V)
