Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection Shares Trailers for Classes ‘Gunner’, ‘War Magus’ and ‘Beast’

Sega Asia has shared more trailers highlighting some of the classes players can choose to play as in the upcoming Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection. After showcasing all the options in Etrian Odyssey HD, they’ve shared the videos for Gunner, War Magus, and Beast, all of which are available in Etrian Odyssey II HD.

Etrian Odyssey is a series of traditional-styled dungeon crawling RPGs. With a tough but fair difficulty and a great array of customization options, it’s an excellent example of how the genre can offer solid experiences that demand careful planning and an understanding of the risks of exploring too long.

The first and second games share nine class options: Landsknecht, Survivalist, Protector, Medic, Dark Hunter, Alchemist, Troubadour, Ronin and Hexer. Meanwhile, the other three options are only in Etrian Odyssey II. The third game offers other classes altogether.

The Gunner is a back row class which can use elemental bullets to explore enemies’ weaknesses. It’s considered a versatile class as it can also provide some support with status ailment curing skills.

War Magus is a unique magic class that can offer support from the front or back lines. Their sword skills cause additional status effects to enemies, and they have cure and buff skills.

Finally, the Beast is a front-line character whose claws and fangs are their main weapon. They have a big HP, can attack multiple enemies and may protect allies from their attacks.

Etrian Odyssey Origins Collection will be available on PC and Switch on June 1, 2023. The digital-only games are already available for pre-order individually or as a bundle, and there’s also a physical Asian edition with English support.
