Etrian Odyssey Nexus to be Last of the Series on 3DS, Western Launch Edition Revealed

Atlus revealed the first one copies of Etrian Odyssey Nexus will include extra physical goods to commemorate the final entry in the Etrian series to release on Nintendo 3DS.

The launch edition of Etrian Odyssey Nexus will include:

  • An art book featuring character and monster designs by series illustrators Yuji Himukai and Shin Nagasawa.
  • A pin featuring Vivian, the innkeeper,
  • Special collector’s box

Etrian Odyssey Nexus is being presented as the definitive version of an Etrian Odyssey title. The game includes more classes, characters, systems, and labyrinths than any other game in the series. Players will be able to create and customize 19 different classes and form their preferred party type.

Additionally, the game features four different difficulty settings, with the option of auto mapping. The game has also been creating a stand-alone experience for new players to start their first Etrian adventure.

Similar to other entries in the series, Etrian Odyssey Nexus doesn’t focus too much on story. Instead, the game relies on party building and exploration as the player adventures into vast unknown dungeons, maps them out, and defeats tons of monsters. The player has full control over the parties classes and weapons.

Etrian Odyssey Nexus will launch on February 5, 2019 on Nintendo 3DS.

Author’s take: My love for this series is strong, I’ve always enjoyed just exploring dungeons and spending time creating the perfect party of characters, which I tend to focus on strength and magic.
