Sega & Yoko Taro Mobile Game ‘Error Game Reset’ Ending Online Service January 2024, Just 9 Months After Release

Sega has announced that their free-to-play mobile game helmed by Yoko Taro, Error Game Reset, will cease service on January 2024, a mere nine months after the title’s launch on April 25, 2023.

Future plans have been translated below via our team’s Ryuji:

Main Story Schedule

Chapter 10 will complete the main story scenario, with Chapter 9 being released on December 13, 2023, and Chapter 10 on January 5, 2024.

Regarding Events

Events will continue as usual until the Cloud Event in late November. Some of the items that will become difficult to obtain after the event will be released from the item gacha on December 1. Some rewards will also be available from the event cast archive exchange from November 1.

Ver 1.4.0 Offline Mode

We are currently developing an offline version of the game so that players can look back on their memories of the title. The offline version can be launched without an internet connection even after the service ends, and you’ll be able to look back on the scenario but also look back on the cast members and figures you’ve acquired. In offline mode, you will not be able to do any battles, and some functions will also be limited.

The title occurs in a context where Sega dominates the world, with various IPs from the company becoming girls that will team up with the protagonist to battle and win against Sega.
