Smilegate has detailed a new slate of content coming to turn-based RPG Epic Seven as part of its 8th anniversary celebrations. Starting August 27, players can claim a free New Moon Luna skin and take part in anniversary events, while a Chaos Zero Nightmare collaboration is scheduled for September. Epic Seven is available now on iOS and Android.
The showcase also introduced Paradise Lost, a new Side Episode set in the 1st World, the earliest setting in the Epic Seven universe. New Heroes Lisette and Uncharted Pioneer Politis will appear as part of the update.
Lisette is the alter ego of Goddess Diche and will be a Light-elemental Soul Weaver focused on reviving and restoring allies. Uncharted Pioneer Politis depicts Politis around the time she first landed on Orbis, with mechanics that change her role depending on her placement. Acolyte of the End Kayron will also play a major role in Paradise Lost, while Kain will appear as a playable NPC rather than a summonable Hero.
Another major addition is Dimensional Exploration, Epic Seven’s first official roguelike mode. Players form a three-Hero party and move through battle, shop, event, and supply nodes while collecting effects, Relics, and Recruitment Tickets. Additional Heroes can be assigned to tag slots and swapped into combat, and the mode will not require entry currency.
PvP is also expanding through The Call of Chaos, a new 3v3 World Arena mode with a shortened pick-and-ban phase. Players attempt to destroy the opposing Sentinel while selecting “Fate” effects that can apply buffs or debuffs during battle.
Background Battling is receiving a major quality-of-life update as well. Battles will continue even after the game is closed, and auto-sell and auto-extract options for Equipment are being added.
The Epic Seven x Chaos Zero Nightmare collaboration will begin in September and feature Renoa, Haru, and Mei Lin. Renoa will be obtainable for free during the event, while Haru and Mei Lin will be available through Limited Summons. Additional collaboration activities will also take place in Witchaven.
Epic Seven’s anniversary rewards begin August 27. Players who log in can receive the Popularity Poll-winning New Moon Luna: Majestic Bunny Girl skin for free.
The 8th Anniversary Celebration will also provide 1,260 free Covenant Summons across 63 days, with 20 summons available each day. Other event rewards include Hero and Artifact Selectors, Summon Tickets, commemorative items, and upgrade materials.
Smilegate also confirmed that Epic Seven will launch on Steam in the second half of 2026. The PC version will support existing account linking and gamepads, while the Steam wishlist campaign is currently underway.
The Epic Seven World Championship 2026 will begin its in-game preliminaries on September 12, with the finals scheduled for November 28.
