Enigma Archives: Rain Code Announced By Spike Chunsoft and Too Kyo Games

Publisher Spike Chunsoft and developer Too Kyo Games have revealed Enigma Archives: Rain Code during the Danganronpa 10th Anniversary Live Event. The new game features the same creative staff as Danganronpa and it’s coming west but the companies have yet to reveal more details such as platforms and release window.

The concept of the game is described as a “dark fantasy mystery.” Though we still don’t know what that entails, it’s very likely that investigating murders will be a part of its story. A few screenshots have been shared by the publisher showing that the gameplay will feature 3D characters and areas to explore.

Though Enigma Archives: Rain Code was announced today, this is not the first time we hear of it. It was previously teased by Too Kyo Games when the company was formed by former Spike Chunsoft members including Kazutaka Kodaka and Kotaro Uchikoshi as “Project #4” with the following concept artwork:

What we know of the project is that it features Rui Komatsuzaki as its character designer and Kazutaka Kodaka is spearheading production. It’s likely that other people involved in the Danganronpa series are also working on it. Check out the screenshots below:
