Fans Working on Ambitious Tales of Rebirth PSP & PS2 English Fan Translation Patch; Significant Progress Made
Fan group Life Bottle Productions and community member StorMyu have announced that they have been working on an English fan translation patch for the PlayStation 2 and PSP versions of Tales of Rebirth, an older Tales of title that has never been localized in any way. This is one of the more beloved entries, so seeing it receive lofty, qualitative fan efforts is encouraging.
Life Bottle Production’s announcement tweet states that 80% of the in-game text has been inserted and that the story and skits are currently in the editing stages. Good luck to the team, and hopefully, this project pans out well. The Life Bottle Production team is always recruiting more members, and their Twitter profile page houses a link to their Discord server.
The PSP version of Tales of Rebirth has more content than the PlayStation 2 version, such as the art book and quicksave functionality. However, the PSP version suffers from compressed audio and lengthier load times. So, neither platform is necessarily superior.

For cultured individuals, I shared my top 5 Tales of waifus, with some rather unconventional picks.
Tales of Arise advances the graphics with the new “Atmospheric Shader,” which presents the world as if it were a hand-drawn painting. Further, the combat has evolved, allowing for a better sense of spectacle and direct player feedback based upon their actions. Finally, the graphics, combat system, characters, and story combine to present a vivid and realized world that the developer hopes will immerse players.
Tales of Arise has launched worldwide on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC. A new patch was also released, adding much-needed player sensibilities.
