Elsword Adds Playable Character ‘Laby’ With New Gameplay Trailer

KOG Games announced that a new character will be added to their free-to-play action MMORPG Elsword, available now on PC.

Starting today, players can play as Laby (pronounced lab-ee), which is short for Labyrinth. Her energetic and explosive personality pairs well with her old-school anime design. She is from deep within the Black Forest, but left to set out on a quest to discover who she really is by following “Third Blue Light”. Throughout her quest, everything she sees is brand new and she is eager to learn more about herself and the world around her. Strangely, a mirror is Laby’s trusted ally and confident and helps her out as if it has its own conscience. Her fighting style has her rely on her fists, but she’ll often use her mirror in combat.

Additionally, the developer released a new trailer showing Laby in action to give players an idea of her playstyle and skills. The trailer also shows the different base forms of Laby as she fights her way through hordes of enemies.

Laby is available to players starting today.

Elsword launched in North America in 2011 and features both players vs. environment and player vs. player modes. Players will fight monsters, level up, and explore the world as they progress the game’s narrative and find their way through dungeons.

Author’s take: I’m glad this game is still receiving support and giving players to return. There’s nothing like bringing in an adorable character to get someone to jump back into Elsword.
