The Elder Scrolls: Blades New Update Releases Today Bringing New Dragon Questline and More, Switch Version Coming This Fall

During the Bethesda E3 2019 press conference, Bethesda revealed that a new, massive update for the mobile action-RPG The Elder Scrolls: Blades is being released tonight.

The update will bring a slew of new content, such as all-new jobs, a custom jewelry system, a new dragon questline, and a solo arena system.

In addition, a Switch port was also announced for the game, and it’s coming this Fall. Just like the mobile version, the Switch version will be free-to-play. Blades for the Switch will have cross-play and cross-progression support with the mobile version as well.

In the game, players can create their own character and city and go on plenty of quests. The game was designed specifically for mobile devices and features one-on-one combat. Unlike past Elder Scrolls titles, that feature open-world and world map features, Blades has a more linear design.

We reviewed the Early Access release of Blades, giving it a 3/10. Unfortunately, we were extremely disappointed that it had such excessive monetization systems. Hopefully, the game’s full release will have many improvements compared to the Early Access release.
