Elden: Path to the Forgotten Gets New Trailer Announcing 2019 Release Date for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC

Onerat Games announced that their top-down pixel art action game Elden: Path to the Forgotten will be headed to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in 2019.

Elden: Path to the Forgotten is developed by a single developer since 2015 and features a medieval cosmic setting with an emphasis on storytelling through nontraditional methods. The game is created in pixelated style and has players battle against enemies and bosses straight out of Lovecraftian lore. Players will be able to use a variety of weapons and spells to combat any situation they approach and they explore the strange environment.

The game’s approach to nontraditional storytelling uses indirect methods “like reading a book in a language you don’t understand, but with pictures.” Which probably means that the story will be up for discussion between players as they explore more of the world and defeat enemies. Elden is a character who is struggling with entering adulthood, and from there, his world becomes a darker place. This ends up forcing him to face off against forgotten evils as well as returning ones.

The developers launched a new gameplay trailer showing what players can expect from this upcoming dark themed titled.
