El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron Gets New PC Screenshots With Release Window

Publisher Crim announced that the 2011 action title El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron would release on PC-via Steam in mid-April 2021.

After revealing the game’s existence, the team monitored the reception and decided that a new batch of screenshots might hold fans off until more news is available.

Producer Sawaki Takeyasu adds, “The complexities and intricacies of El Shaddai can be seen, played and viewed on many levels, and enjoyment and satisfaction can be achieved by everyone and more importantly each time you play and immerse yourself within the world you will see and maybe learn something new which will help you complete the journey!”

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron is inspired by the apocryphal Book on Enoch and follows a scribe seeking seven fallen angels to prevent a great flood from destroying mankind. He is helped in his quest by Lucifel, a guardian angel in charge of protecting the world that exists outside of the flow of time, alongside four Archangels: Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, and Uriel.

During combat, players can utilize various actions to defeat enemies. Guard Break is effective against enemies, as the name implies against guarded locations. Counter Attack, Unarmed Attack, Double and Single Jumping, Dive Attack, and Special Airborne Attack are a few agile and subtle moves. Stealing Weapons and a combination of Special Moves add an intuitive learning curve to the game. Add Boost Skills and this one aspect of El Shaddai adds another dimension to the player’s exploration and interactive journey.

El Shaddai: Ascension of the Metatron initially released on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011, which a sequel titled The Lost Child releasing on PS4, Vita, and Switch in 2017. The series is known for its deep narrative and uniquely designed characters.
