Max Payne-Style Action Shooter ‘El Paso, Elsewhere’ Gets Release Date in New Gameplay Trailer

Strange Scaffold announced that their newest game, El Paso, Elsewhere, is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on September 26, 2023.

To celebrate, the developer released a new trailer that showcases the story of El Paso, Elsewhere while providing hints at what’s to come in the narrative. Further, the song “Stay Awake” is an original collaboration between Nelson and Lake. The song features vocals by Nelson, who also voices the haunting, self-loathing protagonist in the game.

As Savage, players will fight against monsters from folklore and fiction. He must fight these creatures to progress forward and maybe even learn not to be so gloomy all the time. His adventure begins after learning that his ex-girlfriend, Draculae, the lord of vampires, is conducting a ritual that will destroy the world; Savage returns to his hometown of El Paso, Texas, to kill the monster he loved.

Through flashbacks and monologues from Savage, players will learn what led Savage to split from his ex and how and why he was drawn back.

During gameplay, players can dive in slow motion and run across walls as they shoot down these demos. The arsenal includes dual pistols, shotguns, uzis, stakes, and more.
