UPDATE: Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes Shares 2023 New Years Art; Story DLC Vote Public, 5 Options, Including Magical Girls

The latest Kickstarter backer update for the upcoming turn-based JRPG, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, has shared new year’s greeting cards from the staff.

Additionally, some relatively minor comments were shared, such as the reiteration of the ongoing DLC vote open to all members of the public, regardless of whether they’ve backed the game or not. However, there is currently no specified time for how long this poll will be available.

Voters can choose between five group options for the title’s third DLC to hone in on, with each listed below:

Eiyuden 4 — TALES OF THE YOKAI HUNT – Iugo, Mio, Hakugin, etc. – Sample Story: Join forces with a samurai Iugo, a ninja Mio, and a swordswoman Hakugin on a secret mission from the East Reach to put down the escaped yokai (monsters). Survive challenging boss level battles!

Eiyuden 3 — CONQUEST OF THE SANDS – Yuferius, Barnard, Scarlet, etc. – Sample Story: A tale of honorable war between the sandwalkers and their rivals the desert mercenaries. Embark on an eccentric journey with Yuferius, Barnard, Scarlet, and other exciting figures from this installment.

Eiyuden 2 — ELDEN MAGICKS – Markus, Milana, Quinn. etc. – Sample Story: Journey through the story of the origin and collapse of the once prosperous Elden Realm and discover the secrets of the rune-lenses! The collectors will not want to miss this supernatural story involving Markus, Milana, Quinn, and other mysterious characters.

Eiyuden 1 — KINGS OF THE NEIGHBORHOOD – Dr. Corque, Code L, Frida, etc. – Sample Story: Partake in fun town activities with Dr. Corque, Code L, Frida, and more entertaining characters roaming around the town where Nowa’s Alliance is headquartered. Play against the most challenging Beigoma game opponents, test your culinary abilities in cooking battles, and try new Eiyuden Chronicle minigames.

Eiyuden 5 — MAGICAL GIRLS, ASSEMBLE! – Mellore, Carrie, Momo, etc. – Sample Story: Mellore, Carrie, Momo, and other magical powered girls set off on a hilarious story that is too cute to pass up. The Alliance forever changed after a bit of girl power was poured into the mix. Faceoff against mind bending unique battle scenarios and leave it to the magical girls to save the day.

Further, some unspecified in-development materials are being prepared to be shown off in the next update, which is pretty exciting.

UPDATE 2/3/2023: Option 3, ELDEN MAGICKS, has won the vote.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is meant to be a love letter to the classic Japanese RPG genre featuring exploration and battles in high-resolution 2.5D graphics using pixel-based characters, similar to what we saw in Octopath Traveler. The story will revolve around war and friendship and introduce a diverse cast of 100 unique heroes to join the quest, which is very Suikoden.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is releasing for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC in 2023.
