505 Games and Rabbit & Bear Studios have announced the release schedule for three upcoming story expansions for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. Each DLC will focus on one of the game’s main characters—Marisa, Seign, and Markus—offering new storylines that expand their journeys beyond the main game. This DLC was originally delayed beyond August 2024.
The expansions will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG, priced at $7.99 each.
Story Expansion Release Schedule
- February 27 – The Chapter of Marisa
Marisa’s expansion delves deeper into her role as a Guardian, following her encounter with a young girl drawn to ancient ruins. Their bond is tested as they become entangled in a mystery surrounding the “Child of the Rune.” - March 13 – The Chapter of Seign
This chapter follows Seign and his allies as they navigate a hidden conflict within the Galdean Empire. Taking place while Nowa’s group was elsewhere, the expansion sheds light on the covert roles Seign and his faction played during their time apart. - April 3 – The Chapter of Markus
Markus, Carrie, and Nowa investigate an anomaly known as “Menhir’s Distortion,” which leads them to a mysterious teleportation gateway. As they step into the unknown, Markus’s past comes to the forefront, revealing long-buried secrets.
Expanding the World of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes
Each expansion builds on the world of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, one of the most notable JRPGs of 2024. Developed by Junko Kawano (Suikoden I & IV) and the late Yoshitaka Murayama (Suikoden I & II), the game combines a six-character battle system, classic turn-based combat, 2D sprites over 3D backgrounds, and a sprawling narrative featuring over 100 playable characters.
