Playism and developers illuCalab and WSS playground have announced that their science-fiction mystery adventure, EDEN.schemata(); has been delayed from Winter to 2026 for PC via Steam. Language support for English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese will be available.
The team shared the following message regarding this delay:
We had originally planned to release EDEN.schemata(); this winter.
However, in order to further refine one of the game’s cores “narrative and gameplay flow that changes based on the player’s actions,” we have decided to adjust the release window to a planned launch of 2026.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the game.
The development team is working with the utmost dedication to deliver an even better experience.
A Letter from the Developers
To everyone who has been waiting for this game, we are truly sorry.
The release date has been moved to “2026.” We apologize for keeping you waiting yet again. The support we’ve received, from the excitement voiced across various communities to the feedback from players who tried the demo at events, has been a tremendous source of encouragement for our team. We are deeply grateful.
This project involves implementing an unusual system into the game. We believe this system will make the experience truly one-of-a-kind, but such an ambitious approach also presents significant challenges.
There were moments when we wondered if perhaps creating a game like this was too early for us—or even for humanity—but after much trial and error, the final vision is gradually taking shape. Because we want to present the game at its best, we kindly ask for a little more time.
Additionally, because of how the game plays, the user interface, and story all change based on the player’s actions. Which means even sharing small bits of information becomes potential spoilers. This has made it difficult to communicate ongoing progress through social media, even though development is continuing steadily each day under director EIKI.
We are eagerly looking forward to the day when we can share this game with all of you, and we hope you will look forward to it as well. Your patience would mean the world to us.
Thank you once again for your continued support of EDEN.schemata();.
This point-and-click sci-fi journey will feature multiple endings, a steampunk presentation, and character animations drawn by a sole animator. You, an amnesiac, meet an android named Eve, a headless corpse known as The Professor, and an AI known as Cherry.
You try to figure out what exactly happened here with UI and game design that alters as you progress. Moreover, there’s a skip function but no saving, as the narrative loops and branches off across every playthrough.
“Nice to meet you… again?”
An android named “Eve” speaks to “you”, before a headless corpse apparently known as “The Professor”.
Completely devoid of any sort of memory, you, together with Eve—an android, and the Professor’s apparent killer—must uncover the truth of what really happened here.
Use your powers of deduction to unravel the mystery of this locked laboratory, revealing one truth after another.
We hope you enjoy this all-new type of mystery—the kind that’s only possible in a video game.
