Earthworm Jim Receiving New Animated Television Series ‘Beyond The Groovy’; Meta Interview With Jim

Interplay Games has announced that a new Earthworm Jim television series is coming soon. Titled, Earthworm Jim Beyond The Groovy, this animated series is aimed to be a fresh start for this iconic mascot. According to Interplay Games, a brand new creative team is behind this series. They also replied to a user on Twitter, confirming that the original creator is not involved in any capacity.

Further, there is also currently an official website for the upcoming show, though it only contains a meta interview with Jim, the character. While most of this interview consists of Jim joking around, likely setting the tone for what the series intends, he does reveal slight bits of notable information. The intended audience seems to be general, catered to both children and adults. He also constantly insists that this depiction of him will be quite different from prior iterations, so there will likely be some fan division in that regard.
