Earthbound Fan Remake ‘MOTHER²’ Reveals New Trailer

During the fan-led Mother Direct 2023, where roughly an hour of news was shared pertaining to fan projects for the Mother franchise, the highly anticipated fan remake of Earthbound, MOTHER², revealed a new trailer.

The project has been in development for years, comprised of talented diehard fans who seek to create a fresh yet familiar Earthbound experience for veterans and newcomers alike.

This new trailer showcases the playable cast: Ness, Paula, Jeff, and Poo, alongside several development updates. Specifically, the naming screen for party members has been implemented, the battle menu UI has been expanded, and new locations have been added. Magicant and the base of the Happy Happyism cult are some of the more standout locations.
