When the world is being invaded by oversized ants, spiders, and aliens, the Earth Defense Force is there to protect its citizens. However, the newest entry of the series, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers, doesn’t borrow the same visual style as the previous titles and opts to be more playful in its presentation. One thing is consistent across the board though, monsters have invaded Earth, and they need to be stopped.
D3 Publisher announced today that they will publish the Yukes-developed third-person shooter Earth Defense Force: World Brothers in the west on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch for an early 2021 release.
Earth Defense Force: World Brothers uses a voxel graphical style for the characters and monsters. The new game is based in a parallel universe where everything is in this unique style, and Voxel Earth is about to be invaded. Players can create their own character and 4-member team to take down creatures. Characters from the previous EDF titles are also available to recruit to access new signature weaponry.
The publisher also released a new trailer so players can see this latest entry in action. It takes some getting used to, but if they are trying to introduce the series to a younger audience, then they are on the right track.
