EA Access Subscription Service Expands to PlayStation 4 in July
EA has announced that their EA Access subscription service will become available to PlayStation 4 users in July.
Previously only available on PC-via Origin and Xbox One, the service allows die-hard EA fans special benefits for their subscription. PlayStation 4 users will be able to purchase a membership via the PlayStation Network for $4.99 monthly or $29.99 yearly subscription plans.
Members of the service will be allowed early access to EA titles up to ten hours before their official launch. Additional benefits include discounts on full game purchases, expansions, and in-game items for gamers who find that they are only playing EA published games. Members can also gain access to a number of free EA games including Star Wars Battlefront, FIFA and Battlefield.
“As we continue to invest in digital and subscription services, bringing great games to even more players across more platforms is an exciting opportunity for everyone,” said Matt Bilbey, Executive VP of Strategic Growth. “Our goal is to give players more choice to try and play our games wherever and however they choose, and we’re happy to bring EA Access to PlayStation 4.”
EA Access on PlayStation 4 will be available in July, the service is available now on Xbox One and PC-via Origin.
