E3 2020 More Than Likely Cancelled After Devolver Urges Event Goers to Cancel Trips

With the wave of events being cancelled around the world, gamers were left to speculate if the Coronavirus would also affect this year’s E3 in Los Angeles.

Well, that just might be the case after indie publisher Devolver Digital shares, “Cancel your E3 flights and hotels, y’all.” While the statement isn’t official, there have been multiple reports that the announcement for the event’s cancellation would happen in the coming days.

Currently, there isn’t news about the possibility that the event is postponed. Although GDC 2020 announced recently plans to just move the event to a later date in 2020, still no word on that though. Those planning to attend the show this year include media, industry, and fans, which leaves a lot of people planning their Summer around the event to find ways to refund any money they’ve spent on travel and accommodation.

Currently, the residence of Los Angeles, CA, has been experiencing the Coronavirus outbreak after multiple cases have been confirmed within the county. Now, 20 individuals have tested positive with the virus, which leaves the possibility of others infected to be suspected.

We’ll keep you updated on whether or not E3 2020 is canceled, but all signs are currently pointing to yes.
