DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate Revealed in Trailer; Confirmed VR and Switch

MyDearest launched the first trailer for their upcoming project, DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate, in development for VR devices and Nintendo Switch.

The developer describes the game as a new entry in the Chronos universe where players assume the role of a general tasked with uncovering the mysteries of a city. Players will need to follow clues that lead to in-game gimmicks that will progress the narrative. Further, they’ll be armed with a left-hand ability that can access the past when touching something. The game will also feature mech-style action.

This new game is not a sequel to their other titles, Tokyo Chronos and Altdeus: Beyond Chronos. However, it should be noted that this is the first time the series has appeared on Nintendo Switch. It is available on PlayStation VR, which was its initial launch platform. Additionally, it looks like publisher Izanagi games will also play a role in the game’s development.

The teaser website contains a text entry field for a phrase saying “Enter the Keyword.” Supposedly, there’s more to this mystery that players will have to look into.

The opening trailer introduces a few characters but leaves much of the details a mystery surrounding character details or mission information. However, it does confirm the return of mech battles.

We’ll be sure to keep you updated on the development of DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate.
