Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires Sells Over 280,000 Units Worldwide
Koei Tecmo has announced via their latest financial report (page 3) that their strategical musou title, Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires has sold over 280,000 units worldwide across all available consoles. Congratulations to the development team and here’s hoping for further Dynasty Warriors-related success in the future, for mainline entries and spinoffs.
Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires allows players to experience the legendary events of the Three Kingdoms. With your own character, you’re able to create a vagrant force and unify Ancient China and experience several notable eras throughout history. Conquering the whole map also involves the Politics System, so players have to be wise about recruiting officers and procuring resources rather than only battling mindlessly.
There are also the castle siege segments in which players have to strategically plan how to take down enemies’ forces. But overall, the most significant new features compared to the original release are the new strategic layers to the character creation mode, as Dynasty Warriors 9 only featured historic officers.
Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires is available for PC via Steam, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Google Stadia.
