Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires Revealed in Teaser Trailer for Current and Next-Gen Platforms

Koei Tecmo revealed that Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam for a 2021 release.

Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires brings fans more of the 1 vs. 1,000 actions from the Dynasty Warriors series with an added layer of strategy. In this entry, players will command units as they set out to conquer ancient China. The game will feature large scale Siege Battles that enable commanders to deploy units that will capture strategic points on the map such as castles.

Each encounter will have high-stakes as players aim to take control over central points on the battlefield. However, players can also venture out to conquer more through various means such as fire attacks or other stratagem, siege weapons, and, at times, simply by force as commanders execute their strategies and attack enemy troops by issuing vital commands to units throughout the skirmish.

The last Dynasty Warriors to receive an Empires release was with Dynasty Warriors 8, which was released on PS Vita, PS3, Ps4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Switch release in Japan. The series blends action and strategy based on the engine of the numbered entry.

We’ll be sure to share more information about Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires as it’s delivered. For now, please take a look a the teaser trailer below:
