Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires Delayed Indefinitely
Koei Tecmo announced that Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires has been delayed indefinitely to further development and release a better product.
The publisher released a statement that read:
Although Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires was initially announced as an Early 2021 release, the team is still working hard on delivering the best game possible so we wanted to let our fans know the current situation and will announce the new launch window in future updates. We apologize for the delay and appreciate your continued support.
The team also released a new teaser still from the opening movie to prepare fans for the next reveal.
Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires brings fans more of the 1 vs. 1,000 actions from the Dynasty Warriors series with an added layer of strategy. In this entry, players will command units as they set out to conquer ancient China. The game will feature large-scale Siege Battles that enable commanders to deploy units that will capture strategic points on the map such as castles.
The last Dynasty Warriors to receive an Empires release was with Dynasty Warriors 8, which was released on PS Vita, PS3, Ps4, Xbox One, and PC, with a Switch release in Japan. The series blends action and strategy based on the engine of the numbered entry.
Dynasty Warriors 9: Empires is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch, and PC-via Steam.
