Dying Light 2 Stay Human To Offer Free PS5 & Xbox Series X|S Upgrades; 5-Year Support Planned, Cross-Play + Co-op Detailed
Techland has announced that Dying Light 2 Stay Human will offer free PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S upgrades for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners. Additionally, cross-generation and cross-console cooperative play will not be available at launch. However, Epic Games Store and Steam cross-play will be available on February 4, 2022. Adding on to the slew of new announcements, Techland expects to provide 5 years of support for this game, which is impressively ambitious.
Lastly, the following details were provided regarding this title’s co-op features:
- Besides the prologue, Dying Light 2 Stay Human will be fully playable in co-op. This also includes finishing the game
- All session guests can keep their acquired items and player progression
- Important choices in the game can be made by all players through voting, but the host of the session has the final choice
In Dying Light 2, players assume the role of Aiden Caldwell, who has found his way to The City, the last bastion of humanity where factions fight for power and regular citizens fight to stay alive. It’s going to be up to the player to choose Aiden’s fate through missions and decisions. This story is in the player’s hands.
Dying Light 2 Stay Human is releasing for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam on February 4, 2022.
