Dying Light 2 Delayed by Two Months for “Polish and Optimization”

Techland announced that Dying Light 2 Stay Human has been delayed on all platforms until February 4, 2022, from its planned release date of December 7.

The delay comes with a letter from Techland CEO Pawel Marchewka where he mentions this game is the most ambitious title the team has ever created and they need time. However, it seems they’ll be running a series of previews next month with press and content creators to share their experience with the game ahead of launch. I thought a demo might be better, but we’ll do our best here to be a part of that.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human is the newest entry on this parkour zombie-killing experience, and it seems like there’s a lot for players to be excited about. During gameplay, players will interact with multiple factions around the open world and complete campaign quests.

Through these missions, players will learn the parrels that these humans face. However, new zombies are introduced that have special powers. These enemies will probably be best to avoid and run from, which is where the parkour comes into play as the game features a deeper sense of verticality.

In Dying Light 2, players assume the role of Aiden Caldwell, who has found his way to The City, the last bastion of humanity where factions fight for power and regular citizens fight to stay alive. It’s going to be up to the player to choose Aiden’s fate through missions and decisions. This story is in the player’s hands.

Dying Light 2 is in development for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC-via Steam.
