Horror Puzzle Adventure ‘Dying : 1983’ Revealed as a PS5 Timed Exclusive in New Trailer
Nekcom and 2PGames released a new trailer for the horror adventure Dying : 1983 revealing that the game will launch as a PlayStation 5 exclusive in 2022.
Dying : 1983 is a puzzle adventure game where players navigate prison-like rooms with hopes to escape. However, to do so means solving various puzzles, some of which have deadly consequences. It should be noted that this is a sequel to Dying: Reborn, which is why the fish head-themed characters might be recognizable.
Further, the publisher revealed the voice actors they have working with them on the project. The main voices of the official cast for Dying : 1983 are Miyuki Sawashiro (Fatal Frame IV, Catherine, Danganronpa) and Shunsuke Takeuchi (NEO: TWEWY, Genshin Impact, Danganronpa), who play some of the key characters that will attempt to dissuade the player from progression.
The new trailer highlights some of the puzzles that players will interact with. These include locks and pressing a specific combination of buttons, but it is very much an escape room game. On the other hand, there seem to be traps that will trigger if players do something they aren’t supposed to. Weapons can also be seen along with a health bar so it seems like there will be some action elements to this dark adventure.
Dying : 1983 is also in development for PlayStation 4 and PC-via Steam following the PS5 2022 release.
