Dragon Star Varnir Gets New Screenshots Showing Exploration and Huntery Menus

Idea Factory International launched a new trailer their JRPG Dragon Star Varnir, coming to PlayStation 4 on June 11 in North America and June 14 in Europe.

The new details let players know about a few different systems that players will have access too during the game. One of which is Field Exploration where players are able to explore the dungeons of Varneria, which leads them to encounter many gimmicks and enemies along the way. However, there are character-specific Special Magic to get through these obstacles including the ability to fly to get to places faster.

Addition systems include Huntery where players will be able to choose from multiple quests. Fulfilling the quest will grant the player rewards and special items such as the Books of Formation. The items allow players to put their character into different battle formation to receive additional stat boosts during battle. The game also allows players to mix Elixers which can be done in the Witches’ Workshop.

Dragon Star Varnir stars the main protagonist Zephy who is accompanied by a group of witches who are curst to give birth to dragons. Zephy is tasked with hunting these witch originally but soon finds his own fate intertwined with his former enemies. He must then join the group of dragons and fight alongside them in turn-based combat that moves between various layers of the battlefield. The fates of the dragons are in the player’s hands as they make choices on how to take care of them or sacrifice them for additional items and skills.
