Dragon Star Varnir Reveals Characters and Setting in Opening Movie

Idea Factory International released the opening movie for their RPG Dragon Star Varnir, coming to PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe in summer 2019.

The opening movie introduces players to the characters and the main protagonist Zephy who is accompanied by a group of witches who are curst to give birth to dragons. Zephy is tasked with hunting these witch originally but soon finds his own fate intertwined with his former enemies. He must then join the group of dragons and fight alongside them in turn-based combat that moves between various layers of the battlefield. The fates of the dragons are in the player’s hands as they make choices on how to take care of them or sacrifice them for additional items and skills.

After almost getting killed in one of his missions, two mysterious witches save him from the brink of death by feeding him dragon blood. Granted new magic abilities by their efforts, he soon finds his fate intertwined with the witches and decides to join them. With an empire out to destroy Zephy’s kind, ruthless dragon hunters around, and a powerful witch on the loose, players will have to help Zephy and his new witch allies in their quest to survive.

Dragon Star Varnir will have two CG scenes altered in the western release version of the game on PS4.
