Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age Gets Demo on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam

Square Enix have announced that a demo will for Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age has released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. This is the same demo that was available prior to release on the Nintendo Switch version of the title, which offers up to 10 hours of story content.

Completing the demo will reward players with 3 Seed of Skill items, which gives character skill points to use on their skill trees.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age is the definitive version of the latest mainline entry in the Dragon Quest franchise. This version includes more content than the original release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam. The additional content added into this version of the game include:

  • A choice between playing with the original soundtrack or the orchestral version
  • Character-specific scenarios which serve to flesh out the main cast
  • Being able to play the entire game in either 2D or 3D, with the former paying homage to classic titles in the series
  • A choice between the Japanese Dub and the English Dub

One more noteworthy aspect however, is that Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age is graphically inferior to the original release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam, since this title is a port from the Nintendo Switch.

Dragon Quest XI S: Echoes of an Elusive Age is releasing for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Steam on December 4, 2020 for $39.99. It is also currently available on Nintendo Switch.
