Dragon Quest of the Stars to Get Global Release in 2020; Closed Beta Registration Opened

Square Enix announced that their mobile RPG Dragon Quest of the Stars will launch on iOS and Android devices in early 2020.

Released in Japan, Dragon Quest of the Stars has received over 20 million downloads. The game takes players on a new kind of quests where the characters must prevent the destruction of entire planets and worlds. Players are able to create their own custom character, yes, they are also designed by manga illustrator Akira Toriyama and chose two companions to embark an adventure through a solo campaign. The game also has an online mode where you can team up with three other players as well as collectible in-game stickers used to communicate with.

For those who want to get in on the game early, the developer is planning an Android Closed Beta Test, which can be registered at the publisher’s website. The Closed Beta will take place on October 30

Throughout the game, players will meet and fight characters and monsters from across the Dragon Quest series. The battle system features a tap mechanic to activate skills. Players are able to bring four items and one food item into battle to possible get a competitive edge during battle.

Dragon Quest of the Stars will be a free-to-player title, with in-app purchases.
