In a Final Fantasy XVI press release we overlooked from June 28, 2023, commemorating the game’s three million sales milestone, the very bottom revealed a tidbit regarding sales for the Dragon Quest franchise.

The Dragon Quest series has been confirmed to have sold over 88 million units worldwide. No other information greeted this information drop, as it was stated to highlight the successes of Square Enix’s IPs.

Still, it’s neat to see see the franchise doing well. Dragon Quest was previously confirmed to have sold 85 million units back in October 2022, so this three million unit jump is substantial.

Fans can look forward to turn-based battles and monster fusion. The game features the demon prince Psaro, with a curse that prevents him from hurting monsters. Following these events, he becomes a Monster Wrangler to recruit monsters in the world of Nadiria.

Further, the seasons will cycle between Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall, altering the world with new monsters and areas. Further, fans can anticipate a monster synthesis system with over 500 monsters with online battling.

Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest – The Adventure of Dai will launch for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam on September 28, 2023, worldwide.

Throughout this storyline, Dai and his new friends, including the princess of the Kingdom of Papnica, Leona, unite as they focus their efforts on defeating the revived Demon King Hadlar. On the way, they learn more about the world and their places in it and greet new party members as the threats become increasingly severe.
